Sites

There are many meanings and associations with the word sites. Some examples are: job site/work site, burial site, excavation site, site-specific, historical site, site marker, construction site, architectural site, observation site, etc.

Various locations in New Orleans were documented for their potential to be investigated visually using the prompt of the site. There are individual titles and locations noted down for each work. This specific information is important as it creates accessibility for the viewer to be able to relate to and/or look up and visit in person. There are various viewpoints, perspectives and orientations with each structure, which creates visual diversity. Repetition of certain elements such as perspectival lines and frameworks connect disparate locations together visually within the group. A specific, limited palette is used to convey the individuality and distinctiveness of each site. The introduction of unusual elements, such as weathering creates visual discord interrupting the stability of the site. The works appear to be in flux, as there is a balance between the visual structure and the overlapping process marks and debris in competition with one another.
