This series of assemblages continues the investigation of combining deconstructed and reconstructed architectural forms, combined with painting and woodworking methods. Inspired by looking at various plans, working drawings and designs that are used in preparation for more complex works. Perspectival lines and planes, imply but also contradict the illusion of three-dimensional space. This push-pull is combined with painted layering akin to the use of camouflage. Voids in the forms also undercut their physicality, allowing the viewer to peer through them into the space beyond. Bolder graphic areas stand out more, while subtle areas are harder to initially observe. These emblematic forms can be experienced as both sections of an environment to journey through and/or implements used to create the layout for such. These works are presented in an offset, suspended configuration to encourage the viewer to move around, experiencing both the front and backsides of the forms.
